TAMMY HAYANO
HANUMAN HOLISTIC LIVING

Tammy's retreat was a kaleidoscope of experiences, from TRE to classical Hatha yoga. This is not a one dimension yoga retreat. It is a time out for restoration, relaxation and discovery of your inner self and nature, guided by a very professional and intuitive Tammy which makes the experience very much appreciated."

Thank you for this retreat. I have learned a great practice in the last week both through yoga and self-insight. The meditation that you have instructed has helped me in reconnecting with my inner self. I feel stronger and at peace. This retreat has made a significant impact on my life and well-being.

You are in great hands with the retreat facilitator, Tammy. She is super organized, very knowledgeable, and has a great sense of humor! She will meet you where you are at and will ensure you have an incredible experience!
Julia, Russia
Tammy is a gifted teacher and healer. What drew me to the retreat was all the different modalities offered. Each one was a new way to explore the self and body. Tammy taught with humor, insight, kindness and careful directions. Her attention to detail was not only for her classes, but for every aspect of her participants' experiences.

My Journey
After the launch of Hanuman Yoga Retreat in 2013, my personal and professional work evolved greatly over the past decade. Yoga led me to meditation, and then a curiosity to explore and become trained in other modalities— JourneyDance, Qigong - Tai Chi, TRE®/tension-trauma release exercises, Innerdance Energy Work, Craniosacral Therapy, Family Constellations, Circular Breathwork, and mediumship.

It didn't come easy though. I lacked body awareness and flexibility when I started yoga 18 years ago. I didn't understand meditation for many years. I stayed closed in my energy and couldn't relax or let go. Gradually, then rapidly, things started to shift and release—a peeling back of the protective and constricted layers that I wrapped myself in. In pursuing these different modalities, my self-care, awareness, and healing started to expand.

What I've received on my own journey is what I want to offer to others: a warm community; non-judgmental support; loving awareness; and building a healthy relationship with oneself.
Whether it's yoga or another practice, my hope is that we all find a stepping stone into a deeper life journey.

In 2025, my business was renamed to Hanuman Holistic Living to encourage holistic living as a lifestyle and not just during a retreat. I offer an integrative approach to self-care and healing based on a variety of training and experiences.

The Hindu monkey god Hanuman symbolizes strength, fearlessness, persistence in finding truth, realizing our highest potential, and transformation. Hanuman transcends beyond obstacles and accomplishes the extraordinary, with the purpose of devotion and service.
Even before I knew about Hanuman, I have been active in many volunteer and humanitarian organizations: Peace Corps Namibia; Help International Phi Phi; American Assistance for Cambodia; Philippines Habitat for Humanity and Malaysia Habitat for Humanity; New Life Foundation Thailand; Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health; tsunami relief in Japan; Bandekdee Children's Home; Vieng Ping Orphanage; Hanuman Fellowship: Pacific Cultural Center, and Oaxaca Youth Empowerment, Mexico. I believe that our mission on Earth is summed up in Yogi Bhajan's words:
