Signs from the Spirit World

Updated: 6 days ago

I’ve had my share of expected and unexpected spirit encounters, synchronicities, signs, and communication from the Spirit World. Some experiences relate to my work as a medium. However, there are ordinary occurrences where my spirit team (guides, helpers, higher beings, and passed loved ones) show up. I love these mystical and magical moments. I feel seen, loved, and acknowledged— a sense of security that I am not walking my path alone. The Spirit World has supported me through tough times, brightened my days, alerted me about important events, and helped me find answers to my questions.

Muggles (non-mediums) can also learn and practice how to communicate with the Spirit World. It’s like most any skill or talent. Not everyone is a natural athlete, musician, or artist. But we can all build our abilities if we practice. Some of us go further than others, but further doesn’t mean better. I don’t need to be a professional musician in order to enjoy music or achieve something in life.

The Spirit World embodies love and light, operating at the highest frequency. It is accessible to anyone who wishes to build a relationship with it. This is their invitation. Like any relationship, it requires participation from both sides.

Side note: When people talk about demons, punishment, and dark entities, these do not come from the Spirit World. It may come from something else metaphysical, something man-made, or a belief. If you are drawn to a negative energy and engage with it, they can take hold of you, like a parasite finding a host. Avoid becoming a host to harmful energy, whether it comes from a person, place, thing, or experience.

To build your relationship with the Spirit World:

  1. Consider this— Your spirit team is trying to get your attention, and they can be very creative! Common ways are: through your dreams, the lyrics of a song on the car radio, an animal/insect coming across your path, a chill on your body, lights flickering, something falling down (i.e., a picture on a wall), a thought suddenly floating into your mind. Notice any patterns; it may be the Spirit World telling you something! FYI, chills usually mean a “yes,” or a confirmation (NOT ‘there is something spooky in the air’).

  1. Visit areas with a high vibration or frequency. This could be a vortex (such as Sedona, Arizona), a place of worship (like a Buddhist temple), wild nature (the less ‘manicured,’ the better), or a sacred place (new or old) built with intention. The number of amazing, heartfelt experiences I’ve had in these types of places is countless. In 2023, I traveled to Sedona with a friend four months after my mom passed away. We hitched rides around town since we didn't have a car. One day, an older couple picked us up. When I asked the woman her name, she said, “Linda"— my mom’s name! I took a breath hearing my mom's name aloud. I asked her husband his name, and he said “Steve"— my dad’s American name! I felt this was my mom’s way of telling me how happy she was that I was in my element— traveling, being with friends, and enjoying life.

  1. Have experiences that invoke a more expanded state of awareness, allowing the Spirit World to reach you more easily. Suggestions are: Circular Breathwork, sound baths, Reiki, meditation, sitting in the power, or shamanic journeys. These practices help elevate your own light (otherwise know as your energy, soul, or spirit).

  1. Make time and space for quietness and relaxation without doing or thinking. In this Zen-like peaceful state, we can attune to the subtle. This is often how the Spirit World inspires us with ideas or we notice what needs attention. For me, I am connected to water. When I take a shower, bath, or sit in a jacuzzi, I get a lot of downloads. Once, I saw the name “Nosara” in my mind’s eye. I didn’t know its meaning and looked it up. It turned out to be a city in Costa Rica, and was the answer to my question, “Where should I travel to for nourishment?” I ended up booking a weeklong juice detox retreat at Panchamama, just outside Nosara. It was a much needed experience with outstanding facilitators, an excellent program, and easy-going group.

The Spirit World is delighted when we begin to connect with them. It can profoundly transform your life.
