The Spirit World is our Teacher

The spirit world has a lot to teach us about life.

When I conduct evidential mediumship readings, the deceased spirit joins my energy field. It is then that I see through their eyes, feel through their emotions, and understand from their wisdom. They have shown me that after they have crossed over, they go through a process of reviewing their life. Every word spoken, thought made, and action done is replayed back. Similar to a movie, they observe themselves as the main character and how their actions impacted themselves and others. Whether it is love or hurt that they gave others, they feel how the other person experienced it.

For us still living, this is not meant to scare or shame us, nor make us perfectionists or people pleasers. It’s meant to show us that our words, thoughts, and actions matter to ourselves, all beings, and our environment. Moreover, we are all capable of choosing love over hate, kindness over cruelty, and doing our part to help one another.

In my mediumship readings, the dead have often express deep remorse for their past words or actions. They can only come to terms with themselves when they are, at last, able to see clearly and are no longer living life from a distressed state. When given a chance for atonement, some spirits are ready; others are hesitant to be honest with themselves; and some require additional time to process their life review.

Thank goodness that we don't need to wait until we are in the Spirit World to wish that we were a better person in life.

How we experience the external world and life is based on the condition of our nervous system and the beliefs we hold onto. Our beliefs shape our reality.

When our nervous system is not regulated, we are more likely to react harshly at someone or something. When our nervous system is functioning well, we tend to be more easy-going in the same situation.

How to have a healthier our nervous system?

  • Eat a nutritious and nourishing diet

  • Get adequate sleep (7-9 hours)

  • Slow down your lifestyle

  • Work through past trauma

  • Manage emotional stress

  • Limit your time online and a constant need for connectivity

  • Have a safe environment (home and work)

Living from a pattern of hyperarousal (fight/flight, on guard) or hypoarousal (freeze, dissociated, disconnected) is staying stuck on survival mode. It is not having a full tank of gas, and will not get us to that place of feeling light, whole, and free physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Beliefs about yourself and others also shape our reality. We make it true, whether it is negative or positive. Some examples are, “I need a partner to be happy.” “People who are disabled can't have a fulfilling job.” “I can heal from this pain.” “The world is full of opportunities.”

Where do your beliefs come from? What impact does it have?
